i’m Daijana Wallace. it’s pronounced day-on-a (day-on-a, like “spending a day on a beach”). I’m currently composing, teaching cello privately, and figuring out when to build my next mechanical keyboard. I’m excited to be working on a few projects this year with new friends and trusted colleagues—I can’t wait to show you what my collaborators and I have in store.

If you’re looking for my bio you can find it here.

CONSORTIUM ALERT

for cellists and pedagogues

Cellist come one, come all! I’m partnering with the Cello Teaching Repertoire Consortium on a 5-7 minute piece for cello and piano targeting cellists working through Suzuki Book 4. My goals for this piece are to create a work that challenges knowledge of the fingerboard coupled with a modern flair that will encourage cellists to think about how we produce sound on the instrument.

Buy-in options are $50, $100, and $250. For more information about what each buy-in option offers, visit the Cello Teaching Repertoire Consortium website! Sign-up period ends mid-July.
